The entire ride through Ontario was nothing out of ordinary. Lake Erie looked big, but it didn’t impress me as a magic or magnificent lake. I expected to see more wild lives and human activities on the water. What interesting was farmland next to a big body of water. The ports were nice though. Besides the typical tourist traps, they did have small and charming restaurants and coffee shops. The route followed the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail, which was mostly on the road. A section of its was designated bike trail separated from the traffic. It was close to the Lake Erie but most of it was not next to the water, and you would see more farmland than the lake.
