Video: Riding through the covered bridge of Bowler
Out of Weston I was immediate on the Mountain Bay State Trail, which is a well maintain, smooth gravel 83-mile rail trail from Weston to Green Bay. It goes through forests, marshland, farmland, and many towns, big and small. Several times deer jumped on the trail in front of me and ran along the trail to show off. I was especially glad to be on a covered bridge the first time.
I met Dan on the trail. With a bike and a big shuffle, he was voluntarily fixing potholes on the trail. He told me that the park department took care of fallen trees but potholes were not their priority. You must be grateful to people like Dan who care about other users of the trail. Later I went through a section of the trail with many fallen trees removed but one left there to greet me.
On both side of the trail, there were many farms. Trackers crossed the trail from one side to the other, hence the tracker xing sign. It was nice to see a group of people with vision impairment on the trail.
Passed through Green Bay and settle in its southeastern suburb Bellevue.
